Aimee Thieu is a self-taught artist living & creating in Southern California. Her work is the result of intricately crafted pieces made from clay, paper, & other various materials that often serves as a visual representation between the relationship between structure & fluidity.
In her works, Thieu mixes geometric, rigid lines and shapes with more organic, dream-like, liquid-inspired forms and textures in order to create a correlation between the two worlds. Much of the inspiration for her work comes from her fascination with the ocean, architectural design, unique textiles, space and light, and anomalies in nature.
