Matt & Heidi Tinsel Wedding Letters

I was commissioned by one of my favorite power couples, Matt & Heidi to make over 3 ft tall tinsel letters to signify their initials for their wedding. Of course, I happily accepted, and couldn’t be more pleased at how they turned out.

I first met these two when I was looking to get involved more in the arts and decided to apply for an internship at RAW Artists Inc. They are the founders of RAW Artists, an international organization that supports emerging artists by showcasing them in their local cities. As time passed we ended up moving ourselves and RAW up to Los Angeles, CA to grow the business. I learned so much of all the layers and facets of running an arts event company. I ended up gravitating towards more behind scenes, planning and organizing stage equipment, and supporting our Directors.

I have to give Matt & Heidi a lot of credit for bringing me to a place where I could grow as an individual and as an artist.

Throughout the years, Matt & Heidi have given me so many opportunities to explore my artistry, and even paint my first commercial mural in their DTLA office (see next post for mural pictures). Big shout out and love to these two; thank you for all that you do for all of us creatives!

Letters were made by hand cutting foamcore, paper, painted with rose gold spray paint, and individually hand placed tinsel.

The Ebell Club Long Beach — 290 Cerritos Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802

Thrilling collaboration with fellow artist Andrew Haan at RAW Artists Inc in downtown Los Angeles, CA. We wanted to play with our current styles and have them meld into a collective mural. Andrew having a background studies in architecture and graphic arts, translates over to his work with geometric shapes and lines of precision and structure.

I wanted to create a form of water, similar to my 3-dimensional works within fluidity and how light reflects through water. Working in a larger scale, and in a 2-dimensional medium was a bit more challenging to me than my normal constructed layers. Planning was key in this project.

RAW Artists is an arts events organization that supports emerging artists starting out and providing them space/venues to showcase at. For more information please visit:

Museum of Broken Relationships Gift Shop

The Museum of Broken Relationships is composed of objects donated anonymously by members of the public from all over the world. Each exhibit is an object (some of them ordinary, some of them extraordinary) and a story, which together recount a watershed event in someone’s life. Requested from the museum, I created a collection called ' Bound ' that is now sold in The Museum of Broken Relationships' gift shop. Each piece is hand-folded paper pieces adhered together, floating in an encase glass dome that encapsulates the strength and sacred bond of a relationship. Located at 6751 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028 For more info, please visit: https://brokenships.la
